Genealogy of the Family Name Christoforos from the Island of Kythera |

An account of virtually all
individuals from the region of Potamos in Kythera, bearing the name Christoforos in the period
1650-1750. This name was
replaced in the beginning of 19th Century by alternative names
such as Galacatos, Chlentzos, Georgopoulos, Flascas, Coutroulidis and
Cavieris and subsequently disappeared from the Island. This study has found
that all Chlentzos individuals are descending from Dimitri2 Christoforos and his five sons Andreas, Michalis,
Vasilis, Theodore and Nicolaos.
